Operation "Play a lot more hands"

Hi,

After having the dubious honour of being the first villager lynched in the latest Werewolf, I thought I might as well start an operation thread so at least people know who I am when they lynch me first next game.

Anyway I have been playing around 18 months now and have probably played less than 20k hands, which is obviously very poor. I have also come to the realisation that I have been playing badly in the evening recently, I have just started a new job and work 11.5 hours a day and have found that I cannot focus as well when tired.

Also playing in the Australian evening is probably the worst time to be playing. Up until now I have been playing Full Ring but planning to move to 6max.

So the operation and goals -

a) play 4k+ hands per week, playing short sessions before work and weekend mornings 4 tabling 6-max.

b) review hands on a weekly basis and post a minimum of 5 hands per week for discussion.

c) Get to $100NL, no time limit. I usually play $25NL at Party but I am moving to PokerStars to clear their bonus, so planning on starting at the lowest limit available and moving up when comfortable.

Will start monday morning, so first monthly review in 1 week.

Cool, had you done this a week ago you may still be alive.

I would stay at Party if I were you. The PS bonus cannot be that great and will not clear well at the lower stakes NL games. PP has to still have the softest player base making it a gold mine for the SSNL games.

Party only offers 6max at 25NL and above.

Party 25NL FR has become very rocky during aussie peak hours, 6max seems much better but want to play a bit lower than 25NL for a bit, just for confidence reasons.

Current plan is to drop down, play until comfortable then move up to clear the bonus, will probably move back to Party after that (maybe earlier if they have another reload bonus).

Failing operation, have played only 9k hands in 5 weeks. Caught a cold and stopped the early morning sessions and didn't start again.

Havn't posted any hands for review or weekly reviews, anyway 5-weekly review......

played 2.5k of 2NL, winrate around 40 ptBB/100 (this was just to get used to 6max and poker stars software, why does PS make there lowest buyin 250 bb deep? far too easy to exploit fish. They should make it 50bb deep to give them a chance.)

played 6.5k of 10NL, winrate around 6 ptBB/100 (played bad/ran horrible for the first 2k hands, running at around 20 ptBB/100 the last 2-3k hands)

I was planning on taking a 4 BI shot at 25NL, when I had made $100, however I am now +$77 (and have cleared $23 of the bonus), so thinking of counting the bonus as well and taking a shot this weekend if still running good. I'm definitely outplaying people at 10 NL, so I think bankroll is more important than maintaining a winrate for x number of hands.

Will probably start posting hands when I start 25NL, to be honest none of the 10NL have been particularly interesting.
