Default Made sets v. Flush / Straight Draw Chaser

First of all, thanks to bigspenda73 and swiggidy for giving very useful comments in my first post.

This time I have 2 similar hands, I have seen both villains calling down flushes/straight but I do not know whether they like to bluff or not:

    Hand 1:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($9.90)
    BB ($8.05)
    UTG ($11.75)
    MP ($9.90)
    CO ($6)
    Button ($10)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5, 5.
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, BB calls $0.30.

    Flop: ($0.80) 5, 2, Q (2 players)
Hero bets $0.6, BB calls $0.60.

    Turn: ($2) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.8, BB calls $1.80.

    River: ($5.60) 6 (2 players)
    Hero ?

    Hand 2:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG ($11.65)
    MP ($32.80)
    Button ($12.10)
    Hero ($12.25)
    BB ($6.95)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, 9.
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, BB calls $0.30.

    Flop: ($0.80) 2, 9, 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.6, BB calls $0.60.

    Turn: ($2) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.5, BB calls $1.50.

    River: ($5) 4 (2 players)
    Hero ?

    1. Did I bet big enough to kill the odds of the chasers? Should I overbet/push turn instead of betting 3/4 pot?

    2. I've bet PFR, flop and turn to built the pot. Which is action is more correct:
Value bet the river (1/3 - 1/2 pot) or check it to allow villain to bluff?

In general on both hands you can probably raise to pot every street, chasers at this level have no idea about pot odds, so make them pay as much as you think you can get.

On the river in general don't expect passive donks to try to bluff you(unless you have a read). You'll get more value in the long run from 3/4 to full potting these and getting paid off by two pair/ TPWK hands.

I was given pretty much the same advice once, and it's true these chaser will pay much more than you think.

    Good luck.

You bet size are OK, on the river you are better off value betting again then checking and hoping for a bet
