Default PLO8b HU SNG, interesting hand

Really early in SNG, villain ended up being a calling station but I did NOT know this at the time. I had no idea what to do on the river. I mean I guarantee villain has A2 here so is it a c/c or a full pot to try and take the whole things away?

Are you cry calling if he raises?

With no low myself, and a wheel draw on the board, I would play this c/c but then again I'm nitty with one-way weak two pairs in PLO8.

No, Im not calling at all.

My thinking is Im trying to fold out one way hands myself by betting. Im hoping he can fold a hand like A26x or even top 2. The question became for me how much to bet to accomplish this.

    Default so early

Uh, Big, if he has A2 he may not have any lo.

Seems in a HU SNG you are both expressing a willingness to rock and roll so early. I usually do well if it gets to HU with blinds much higher, but with the blinds so small I am in very cautious feel out mode.

Bottom line is your hand is very weak. I would actually expect to see AT beat me here, along with some lame 87 lo!

It is a good example of a good early game note taking hand, you might learn a lot from what the opp had. So what happened? I guess she didn't have A4.

How early in the match are we? Have you played enough hands against villian for him to know your bet sizing on scoop hands? Obviously a full pot bet looks fishy, and an under bet is begging for a call... 1/2-2/3 pot sounds about right. You want it to look like a value bet. As played 380 seems about right, it's boarderline begging for a call, which makes it look more like a value bet. Although almost half your stack is in the pot now, it's kind of hairy any way you look at it. Giving up leaves 25% of your stack on the table, and the bet leaves you with half a stack if he's scooping.

    I guess it's a 3-sided coin flip over c/c c/f and b/f.

As b/f probably gives you the most equity my guess is you made the right play.

    That's why I said A26x.

He obv has A2xy on the end. Just hoping x or y does not equal 4,6,9,T,A.

I really just did not want to check and have to face a pot-sized bet on the end so I decided this bet would:

    a. block him from raising a 1-way hand
    b. tell me Im up against A24x if raised
    c. fold A29x
    d. Get value out of a bad call by A2KQ type hands

That's a lot of hoping but I just felt checking was bad.

PLO8 HU SNG has to be as about as close to flipping coins as poker gets.

Lol, no, not at this level. Against ppl not named GMML/Hartlin I'm like 8-2 in my last 10 probably.

Try Stud8b turbo HUSNG. I played Mike4066 last night and got owned.

I dont think I bet this river, we assume he has A2, and if he called your pot size bet on the turn he probably has something going for high too, so unless he has a hand like A2QJ and he was drawing for the high str8 he has at least 2 pair that beat you, and I doubt he is folding it
