6 week poker break. Any advice?

Default 6 week poker break. Any advice?

So far I've gone 1 and a half days without playing (and be able to). I feel like something is missing from my life - a feeling of emptiness.

I stopped for 6 weeks because of upcoming exams.

Does anyone have any advice on taking a 6 week poker break? Forgetting the game? Keeping up to date on the net?

The last few weeks before the break I was on a massive high. Will I play worse after a 6 week break? Will I play better? Have renewed vigor for success?

Any nono's for when I continue play? Don't rush back into things/lose patience?

When I am on holiday I've got other stuff to do and I can't play even if I want to. Now, I could play on my computer but I've decided not to. It's a different experience.

    Thanks

What stakes do you play at?

After taking a long break, my hand reading gets rusty in the more aggressive short-handed online games. Against bad players hand reading is almost trivial.

I really need a bedding in period if I don't play for a while. Maybe even play a few tables of 100 until you feel completely in control.

i would have thought you'll play worse when you come back. Play 100NL for a couple of days when you first come back. I tend to still read FTR and a bit of 2p2 when im on a break but just do what you want. Its your break. Poker will still be here when you get back. Good luck in the exams.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
