So I suck at poker...
...but its ok because Im gunna fix it.
My story in short is that I worked my way up to 100NL, won a bit and then took a long break right around christmas until almost now when uni and life got too busy.
Ive recently returned to 100NL and realised I now suck. If anything, the games seem softer than when I last played but apparently I cant beat them for shit. I'm spewing alot of chips by bluffing into players who wont fold in rediculous situations where I almost never have the hand I'm representing and I'm wayyy overvaluing medium overpairs right now. Im sure its just a case of finding my rhythm again but I have decided to drop back to 50NL for now until I become a winning player again.
Im writing this partly because I know this isn't varience and I dont want to hide behind that. Also I feel making this downswing public will force me to acknowledge the weaknesses in my game and correct them.
So my plan is this.
-I'm going to be playing £25NL on crypto for say... 10K hands and I'm going to be posting alot of them.
-I'm not going to bluff for the next week even If the guy looks really weak (except cbets). This is going to be -EV but hopefully it will get me out of the habbit of bluffing at everything which is way more -EV.
-Im going to be alot more cautious with medium overpairs.
-Im not going to have my aces cracked.
Wish me luck
