    Default Big Stacked Unknown.

Ok Im not really sure if this is in the right place but...

You have just joined a No Limit Cash table with 6 players. 4 players have 100BBs. 1 player has 200BBs. The player with 200BBs is likely to be a "good" player.

    discuss.

(good is a relative term here meaning a winning player at this game)
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

Big stack has probably stacked a full buy, probably the seat you're sitting down in. That doesn't necessarily mean he's good, but it's a safe assumption to make until you have information to the contrary.

If Im playing at my main site and see a player that Ive never seen before and have no stats on, Im not going to assume he is good because of a few reasons.
    1) There are only so many "decent" regulars; and,
    2) My database is massive

Throwing out the specifics [which is probably what you want], I dont think you can really make any assumptions just on their stack stize. Again though, this shouldnt be that common of a situation, but I guess when you get into it just dont assume anything.

...or he got lucky. Usually you can peg him within 2 orbits.

After that hand, my opponent was sitting with 400BB stack. Does it make him good? How wold you percieve him if you just sat on table and didn't see the hand below?

Yeah, I know, it's just $10NL microstakes but when I was rolled for NL25 and NL50 I saw lots of players like that one.

Nice call, isn't it obvious you're bluffing with the A?
