Default vpip and pfr = starting hands??

    Hi,
I ve been trying to move from tournaments to ring games since a montha ago now but I can t see any result worth of notice. If I stick to a tight aggressive approach i can manage to win some hands (most of the times small pots) but then a bad beat or a following tilt makes me loose all my buyin, more than i could earn in 5/6 hours. While doing some reading i found aces's guide to nl and his advices but i still cannot translate his suggestion of vpip around 13% and pfr 8% into starting hands.
Another thing, do you think I sould start playind nl 25 or 50 to improve my game (bankroll is not an issue at this levels)
    Thanks a lot

13% VPIP would be something like AJ+, KQ+ and all pairs, plus some other broadways and suited connectors in late postion. 8% PFR is around AJ+, KQ+, 88+, but again you need to take into account position. You can work these out with Pokerstove (great tool)

Make sure you check out Rentons guides too. Good stuff in there: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-36037.htm

Its always going to be this way. Just accept that right now your biggest leak is probably that you tilt. Find out why and fix it.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

that used to be my biggest problem, I called off too much money with the second best hand. you need to learn pot control and reading your opponent better.

Somewhat off topic, but does aces really suggest playing a 13/8 style?
