    Default Hand vs TAggy/TAppish

The table is playing really TAggy and stabbish. No showdows, not much getting past 2 bets.

The button is kinda on the loose passive side for the table. SB is a TAgg, but he's not very good and too predictable. I don't think he plays back at me with a very wide range here.

I haven't gotten out of line and the check box next to "auto-post blinds" is drawing my attention.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($261.60)
    SB ($185.70)
    Fnord ($100)
    UTG ($104.50)
    MP ($174)
    CO ($96.65)

Preflop: Fnord is BB with J, A.
3 folds, Button calls $1, SB completes, Fnord checks.

    Flop: ($3) T, 2, J (3 players)
SB bets $3, Fnord calls $3, Button folds.

    Turn: ($9) T (2 players)
SB bets $6, Fnord raises to $15

seems to me you're helping worse Js fold and paying off the T or 22. I would play 89/KQ like this.

are you using that for an excuse not to raise preflop?

i agree with drmcboy on what the raise does. I would rather minraise flop and half pot turn and river than just raise the turn. your line wreaks of big hand and is to marginal to be confident in while playing a big pot.

I like this pre-flop play against TAggs. AJ is rarely a big pot hand against them, it's pretty much what they would put me on and I have room to poke around without committing. Also, I was new to the table and found the button open limp a little suspect in a game where pre-flop raises won more then their fair share of blinds.

Post-flop, what are we putting TAgg on? I think lots of draws, Jx, Tx and air are all in his range here. I understand the reasoning behind getting the max from Jx, but how often does he have that hand and how much can I hope to extract?

Raise preflop. As played, raise the flop.

Raising preflop does not commit you to building a big pot postflop, it just gets money in the pot with the best hand (one which will dominate any other hand that makes a pair when you do given preflop action), and puts you in a position to take more of the button's money regardless of whether or not you improve.

    Love me for a season
OOP, with zero implied odds, and at these stakes, there is more value in deception against thinking taggs who may target weakness in small pots but tend to showdown for cheap thereafter. I don't raise this preflop either unless I'm up against guys who I know will pay me off with all sorts of junk postflop.

A loose passive button here is not the type of player to be cbetting against unimproved.

why didnt you raise the flop?

i dont mind checking this preflop, and i dont like the raise on the turn, there are hardly anyhands that you are beating that are sticking around.
