    Default A couple hands tonight

Anyways, I was playing in a $20 home game tonight, and a couple interesting hands came up.

    Hand #1
Opponent is a strong semi-loose player. I personally know that he has been beating 50NL on party poker for a healthy rate. I know he was capable of raising me with nothing in this situation.

5-handed (I have about 160 in chips SB has round about 80)
    Blinds are 2/4.

    I'm in the BB with
Button Limps. SB completes. I check.
    Flop comes :Qh: :Jh:
SB checks. I check. Button checks.
    Turn comes
SB checks. I bet 10. Button folds. SB raises to 25. I push.

    Thoughts?

    Hand #2
My opponent in this hand has basically no concept of poker once so ever. Makes completely random bluffs at pots, throws his chips around, and plays top pair like the stone cold nuts. Against a normal opponent, I usually will lay this down, but I figured his range could include a variety of hands such as air, a solo ace, or a lower two pair.

3-handed. Im in the SB with about 130 in chips. Opponent has around 100 I figure. Blinds are 2/4

Button calls. I raise to 12 with :Ah: . BB folds. Button calls.
    Flop comes :As:
    I check. Button checks.
    Turn is :Jc:
    I bet 15. Button raises to 30. I call.
    River
    I check. Button bets 40. I call.

    Hand #3
HU against the same opponent in the first hand. His line really looked as if he was slowplaying a monster agianst me. Blinds 5/10.

We're about even with around 300 chips each.

I'm in the SB and get dealt :Qh:
    I call. BB checks.
    Flop is
    BB checks. I check.
    Turn is :Ks:
BB checks. I bet 15. BB calls
    River :Jh:
    BB bets 45. I call.

    Hand #4
Not really too concered with my play in this hand. Mainly posted it because of the action between two other opponents in this hand. Both opponents are tightish players.
Stacks are: I have ~150. Button has ~150. BB has ~250.
    4-handed. Blinds 3/6.
I'm UTG with and raise to 18. Button calls. SB folds. BB raises to 45. I fold. Button raises to 109.
At this point BB began tanking saying "I really think he has aces" and finally folded.
Anyone have any idea what these guys had?

    Hand 1:
I think that villain thinks you're full of shit. I dont mind the push, you have plenty of outs, plus fold equity.

    Hand 2:
Why are you waiting until the turn to bet? 2 pair is very vulnerable, it is not the nuts, dont slow play it. I might check this flop if I'm facing a maniac who I know will bet. But against the player you described I bet. You want this player to think that you are bluffing always, so just fire bets at him every street.

Hand 4: BB has JJ QQ AK, or maybe TT...I dont think hes folding KK here.
Button has AA or KK. IT doesnt make sense why the button would cold call your raise and then RR the BB...if he was slow playing his Aces or Kings why wouldnt he continue to slow play them?? It just doesnt fit....its like he changed his mind half way through and decided to finally Raise his Aces or KK. OR maybe hes just a donk and did that with a small PP because he was tired of everyone raising him??

Okay its been a while since I posted in this thread but.

This player would have bet here 75% of the time. He would bet if he hit a pair, any type of draw, or better.

Hand 4: BB has JJ QQ AK, or maybe TT...I dont think hes folding KK here.

Okay this hand really shocked me. BB folded his KK face up and the button showed 22. I really thought the button had QQ-AA here too because it seemed like the only line that fit. He's a pretty solid player and rarely if ever makes complete donk moves.
