Default FT Blinds Defense, too much?

At FT of 45 man sng the other day. I was midstack (about 6000 chips), blinds were in the 200/400 range. 6 players left.
I get 2c9h in the BB. Normally, I fold this to any raise or check fold.
But I decided to "defend my blind" since there is little chance of picking it up if I check it in.

    2 limpers ahead, I raise 4xBB.
    1 caller. (another mid stack)
Flop comes rags (I didn't even look except to verify no paint)
    I push.

    Too aggro?

    Not enough information.

What was the caller like? What position was he in?

It's a risky play because your doing all of this OOP without a read (as far as we know). If your opponent hit, he'll give action, if he missed he will fold.
