with my low M I have gone into push or fold mode, in fact I'm pushing about 1 in four hands. Thing is no one is calling me so I am slowly building up my stack, but it's pretty nerve wracking because some of my hands are marginal at best Normally in this position I have been called and have doubled up or busted out but this time no one seems to want to call me. In fact everyone is a bit annoyed at me I think. I go up and down a bit with people raising before me leading me to fold or not having the courage to raise total junk heads up in the blind which is probably a mistake. Eventually I get to

and go all in with a pair of 9's, I get called by reelspooky with AQo and the guy makes his straight. So after all that my question is should I have changed my strategy or was I right to keep plowing along going all in? It felt like I wasn't really getting anywhere and was risking everything on the edge of the money. On the other hand if no one is calling it is free chips and a double up puts me in a good position. I think I was doing the right thing I just never had such a long stretch where I wasn't getting called. Also my post flop game is embryonic and I have no confidence that I could outmanoeuvre people out of pots. So anyone got any thoughts after all this rambling? Once I got a good lead on Redhatlady should I have slowed down? From the chat they were glad to see the back of me which I take as a good sign haha

First off, perhaps you might want to post this in the SnG section. Second, am I missing something or did you forget to post the hands? Only your commentary on the 2nd hand says what you had.

By no means am I an expert, but I would have played as you did being short stacked. Sooner or later, you hope to hit something good and those who are tired of your pushes will call. I would have pushed those 9s all day long in your situation.

Sorry I'm a beginner so I picked this forum. It's not the hands so much I'm interested in rather the strategy of push fold for so long I am wondering about. Should I have started to play more normally when I moved into third in chips?

    looks like you played good.

By the end, your table turned into a battle of who will be knocked out first among the three shortstacks. You have to keep hammering there and hope that the other two small stacks will tighten up in fear of bursting on the bubble.
