Default Headed to Vegas in Sept

Not sure where this belongs, but--

I'll be freeloading in my brother's room at the Mandalay Bay. Since I started playing poker more than a year ago, I went to Vegas once last year which was fun-- I played the 1-3 spread limit at Excalibur and 2-4 at Imperial Palace where SSHE rules apply.

Now that I'm playing NL I may move off the limit tables. How do you transition your game (if at all) from being a multi-tabling TAG bonus whore to a live NL cash game? I figure that not much change is needed, but since you obviously can't play more than one table, patience becomes more of a factor and you'll need to be ready for huge variance. Do you find the games to be looser live than online? Do tighted up even more and do more nutcamping than usual?

Live games are so much looser than online... at leats from my experience. If you're playing for example 200nl live, expect to see standard raises of 8x bb or more. At my casino we have 200nl and 400nl... in the 400nl game it isn't shocking to see someone raise to $40 utg with AJo...

Of course this all depends how good the players are. When I head to mine every now and again, I am usually the best/most aware at the table. There are a lot of those "hot shot" players who watch poker on tv and smoke their home sngs with their friends. However, they never pay attention to anyone's playing style and play nothing but their cards.

Just adjust to your table. This may be hard to do at first, but once you sit down getting reads will be much easier than you think. You can usually tell who is semi-decent and who is just plain awful. I usually just play a standard tag game and most of the time come out on top.

Also, if possible, if you're a mutli tabler with 8+, I would suggest trying to get a seat next to a tv or something... the first time I went to play after mutli tabling I would sometime fold 10 hands in a row... and it can get boring mighty fast!
