Default Play for stacks w/ top 2?

Turn raise is scary - smells like a set, but do I lay down top two there? River push sucks. Do I call this off? No read. Only have 12 hands on him and he's played 7. He lost a smallish pot w/ KK vs. A2.

yeah I can't fold either, to easy for him to have worse two pair. Maybe if he had another 200 behind instead of 40.

I called and he flipped over A9. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't overplaying my hand since I faced some major aggression.

Yep no way I'm laying that down without a read that says "this guy is ridiculously tight and good"

    push turn

You are obviously calling a push on the river, so just stick the rest in on the turn. And this is a very easy call as played.

Wouldn't pushing the turn possibly fold worse hands and keep in better ones? The chance of getting outdrawn by a hand I'm ahead of on the turn doesn't seem that high.

BTW, I'd say 75%+ of these same situations have gone the other way lately. It's results oriented but that's why this didn't seem like a no-brainer to me.

I think you push turn to punish 2 -hearts, QT/8T draws.

It doesn't matter if you keep better hands in if you are going to call a river bet anway, especially one that makes a straight.

you mean let him check behind on the river with the large majority of things that you beat, but will obviously call a turn push with because he's pot struck?
