Starting Level Casino Cash Games

I've got some free time coming up soon (that is no work for 6 months) so I thought I'd set up a bankroll of $2000 and go play some casino cash games (i'm in the UK) . I do have over 5 years of poker experience but mainly all of it on line and casino single table tournaments (with the occasional casino MMT). I have been succesfull so far and have more than doubled my money.
Can anyone recommend what level I should start at in the casino- I'm assuming as low as possible, i.e $1/$2 games. Would there be any benefit of playing higher stake games ($5/$10) or would I get eaten alive by sharks waiting for newbies like me? Or should I just stick with what I know and forget about casino cash games?
Any opinions appreciated.

If you're experienced... STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE from ANY 1/2 - 3/6 limit game(anything above i have no clue)... unless you feel... lucky
NL is a little better.. with 2000 you have a well off BR for 1/2 or in some cases 1/3 NL (100 max buy-in)
