A gift from Party poker

I have my BR sitting in Neteller right now because I bought a new house in April and have so much to do that I was not getting anything done while trying to play poker. So I took the month off poker to work on several large projects around the house. It also gave me some free time to get some of the reading in I have wanted to do. TOP, HOH 1 & 2, and Advanced concepts. Anyway long story short (too late) while reading HOH I logged into party to watch some of my favorite FTR'ers play and found a $30 no deposit bonus in my account. All I have to do is play 300 raked hands and they release it for withdrawl. My account was at $0.12 and they let me take the $30 to the tables. So I thought that this was a good chance to try Poker office @ the same time, thinking that my next deposit was going to involve a PT or PO bonus, so I could get it. Anyway, here's the point to this.

1) I'm going to use this money to buy either PO or PT after I finish the requirements instead of my BR. What's the recomendations from you guys, which one? I don't want to post this in the Tools forum yet because alot of guys don't go in there. I loved the interface on PO while at the table, no gametime or Hud needed. Or should I still use one?

2) The beginner tables are gone, so I'm actually trying to clear this at a 25NL table, so I may not make it. If I don't, what program should I bonus whore to get? It may depend on ease of clearing as well as which program.

3) Has anyone ever had this bonus offered?What's the catch? What's the point? Without the beginner tables, who in there right mind would stay at party till the roll can handle it? Will they offer this again to me?

The point is to kep you playing at Party. There is no catch (other than the clearing requirements). Good luck and, from talking to you, you'll be fine at $25NL.

My concern is that I'm under rolled without depositing, but I'm at $42 already and @ 100 hands out of the 300. And it's free money.

Well, you can always deposit if you lose it. Otherwise, what are you going to do? You're underrolled for anything at Party with $30!

Ehh, your only option is to play the $25nl tables, with less than two buyins it will be tough. Since your main goal here is to get the money out then Id play incredibly tight, you could achieve the bonus by just posting blinds, but Id still play, just try not to get involved without the goods.

This is what I posted just the other day about this same question:
"I own PO2 and am actually thinking about buying PT and PAHUD for a few reasons. Yea, the interface in PO is a lot better and easier to use than PT, but thats about it. The support for different networks is not as good with PO as it is with PT, the built in overlay is nice to have and better than nothing but the stats it can display arent all that great and PAHUD is many many times better. PO doesnt have any cbet stats or showdown stats, both of which are incredibly important to have. The overlay also is not as easily customizable [ie. different layouts] and does not have an option to click on a username to show full stats. So yea, PO has a nice interface and a built in overlay that is better than gametime+, but an interface doesnt make you money, what you can do with it does. "

The exact same thing happened to me. (I too had like .25 sitting in my account, and got an email from Party for $30 with the same restrictions). I started playing at the full ring $25NL and was playing way too passive and getting run over. I opted to try 6-max and cleared the bonus (and built the roll) in no time. Well, there were some serious swings along the way. I'd say if you've ever wanted to try 6-max, this is a great time to do so. Plus it also gave me the confidence to try $25NL 6-max at my "regular site" where I am properly rolled.

i got that $30 bonus - For the first few days I just bought in short at the 6Max 25NL tables...I would buy in for like $10.23 (so everyone would think that was my roll) and as soon as i doubled it, i moved on and did it again - I got on a decent run of cards and turned that $30 into $190...Once I got up to about $100 i would do $20.34 buy ins etc, but just kept doing it over and over...

200 hands out of 300 cleared. I'm @ $55.40. Ya i had the same problem yorib. I was too passive at the beginning. I played about 40 or so hands and lost 10+ bucks. Decided to rebuy with the other 5 and started with $24 at one table and commited to aggro play. Went uphill from there. NO FEAR, it ain't my money. going to 2 table tonight and finish this mofo.

This was not the first time UTG+1 pulled this on the turn with a scary board.

I got $20 off party for free once, put it on a 50NL 6max table and doubled it, then went to 100NL and doubled again etc. Then I got them to send me a check for $200. Clearly this is what you should do. Br management doesn't apply to free money.

Open limped on the button, smoothcalled with top two on the flop and only put in one raise on the turn for the minimum, thats pretty passive.

TJ: Aggressive is what the villian pulled in the 2nd hand history. I thought villian would flip up 44/7x/56 for sure. Why'd you call the push, but not push yourself on the flop? A push on the flop = QQ+ and the villian has to fold. (You can't bluff someone who's already AI). I'm almost certain that villian may have honestly thought you had AK/AQ and would fold, heck any hand that wasn't improved by the turn could/should justify folding. I've read that with bullies you should just call them down, but just pushing when you think you have the best of it works too.

yea?. This guy was calling with shit, alot. He would reraise better hands preflop. He was just super loose and calling down or reraising with crap. I had him pegged as bluffing and he had me on what you said AK, AQ. He all-inned(word?) with a pair of 4's and a gut shot. aHew reraised my heavy flop bet with a pair of 4's. Did I really play this badly? I thought I had a pretty good read and did just enough to keep him around to pay me off. I have alot to learn, obviously.
