Default playing poker for euro's......better than dollars???

has anyone played poker for euro's at the same level as dollars....and if so does it seem to be the same skill level? for example...do you think $25 nl on crypto or whatever site would be the same skill level at 25pounds nl?? I am asking because if they are the same level and you are a winning player at $25...then it would make more sense to play for pounds because a pound is worth almost twice as much as a dollar. any one have experience here???

I play £25NL and occasionally $25NL at Crypto. I believe that there is a discernible difference in quality, but not one that compares to the difference in the exchange rate (currently about $1.90 to the £).

So, if you're a winning player at $25, you should be able to win at £25, but it's worth seeing it as a genuine move up and use the necessary caution. At Crypto I also play $50 and I would say it is a step up again in terms of skill, even if financially it'as only slightly above £25.

The other consideration is that Crypto annoyingly gives the same number of player points at $25 as at £25! So if you're clearing a bonus, playing the $25 tables is probably the wisest move.

Is'nt the rake higher at the pound tables?

thanks for the reply...i am playing right now and it seems pretty decent i think i can do well with this. i think the rake is not different ...it is the same percentage of the pot...so only more considering that the money is worth more.

i was also wondering...how does playing for euro's or pounds or whatever effect you if you have rake back? you should essentially be getting more rake back but i am just not sure about how the whole currency exchange works. thanks again for the reply.

If your playing £25nl you should be playing $50nl, not $25nl - basic br manageent.

I would assume that £25nl tables will be slightly easier than $50nl tables, due to the on screen value (not that theres much difference between the micro stakes anyway).
    Experimenting - 200NL 5max.

for the life of me i can't figure out what is basic about playing at a harder game for the same value buy-in.

basic bankroll management.. just play where your br allows.. eg if you can play £25nl you dont need to be playing $25nl but can move up to $50nl.

if 25 pounds is basically equall to a 50 dollar buy in, and if a 25 pound game is easier to beat than a $50 game...what is so basic and obvious that i would play at $50 instead of 25 pounds? i really don't understand what point you are trying to make.

here is the simple answer - If you are a WINNING player, than playing for pounds would be better...Big $$ diff. between Pounds and Euro's though (sorry, american keyboard, no lbs or euro marks)
