Default The term 'raise 4x the BB'

If I'm at a table with blinds of .50 - 1.00, and I'm UTG and i bet $4, meaning I literally type $4 into the box and press enter, should I tell people I raised 4x the BB, or should I tell them I raised 3x the BB?

Either way could be correct, it just depends on how you look at it. If the object of the raise is the person in the BB who has 1.00 sitting in the middle of the table, I raised 3x the BB. Or if the object of the raise is the person next to act, I raised 4x the BB.

Just say you raised it 4xBB its the standard way of saying it and there is no need to get into the semantics of it

It's usually raise 'to' 4xbb, to be more precise.

it means the total bet, not the actual raise...

    if that makes sence
