Wow I'm stupid

Ok please tell me all the many ways in which I was really stupid here so I don't do it again!

Pre-flop I thought I was getting nice odds as I figured everyone would call the min raise. When the raising carried on I'm thinking at what point do I let go of this rising balloon? Should just fold first time?

On the flop I have a gutshot straight plus backdoor flush but it was a rubbish call wasn't it? Someone may already have made a better straight and my flush is almost certainly not good anyway.

On the turn I'm dragged in again. I make bottom pair, a 4 flush and still the straight draw. But if I'm thinking properly my straight may not be good, my flush if it hits will probably not be good and my pair is unlikely to help even if I hit trips.

Which I do, but with the flush possibility should I just check? The size of the pot was tempting me and catching little pieces kept me in when I should have got out.

I'm posting this to shame myself into playing better!

Fold that on the flop. Everytime.

Preflop is ok, pot is gonna be huge in relative terms, and if you hit you're gonna get paid. But you didn't hit, so you should lay down on the flop. Remember that straight-forward play is almost always correct out of position in multi-way pots.

Preflop - you have a crap hand, unsuited low connectors, you need to hit the flop really hard to continue playing, and you are totally out of position. Callign the first raise was fine. Once you got reraised I would probably dump it since there is a decent chance you will be reraised again.

On the flop you have absolutly nothing but a gutshut str8 draw with only 3 outs, since 7c is not a clean out for you. Fold to any bet

He had about 6:1 for calling that re-raise, if the table conditions are right (they give a lot of action postflop), then his call of the re-raise can easily be justified.

If he was closing the action then you have to call because of pot odds, however with 3 people left to act after you there is a decent chance you will be reraised to an amount that does not justify a call

No one is going to re-raise the button. They limped to the small blind who min-raised into a 4 limpers, the button then doubled that raise after limping. The small blind then called, effectively closing the 'relative' action between the two raisers.

The original limpers are pot sweeteners and should be completely discounted from your decision. They are not a concern and you can confidently call here without fearing a re-raise everytime. In fact, this adds to the already good pot odds he was getting, knowing that probably at least one more caller, and usually all 3 would give him a range of 7:1-9:1 pot odds preflop.
