    Default Poker Nations Cup

    Figured i'd give a little blog since im back from Cardiff Wales representing the USA in the inaugural Poker Nations Cup...

    Teams consisted of 5 pros and one online qualifier, i ended up qualifying the thurday before the tournament and flying out on tuesday.

    USA had Robert Williamson III, Andy Bloch, Clonie Gowen, Kathy Liebert, Thomas Keller, and myself.


    I got to play against Devilfish, and Scott Gray from Ireland in my heat.

    I signed a contract promising not to speak of results until the television airing Mar 14, but if anyone has any questions about the experience (it was unreal, all those guys are great people and fun as hell), i'd be happy to chat.

    Was playing on Pacific, they had a restricted tournament for $100 buy in...Something like 50 people signed up, it paid out regular, but had this trip as a kicker for the winner... I didn't really think about the trip when i signed up, i like 50-100 person tourneys, its a good amount of people for my style of play, so i signed up, won it, and then figured out what the hell the nations cup was after the fact...

    Unreal trip though, i was treated extremely well. Had a driver with a mercedes take me 2 hours from london to wales, stayed in the nicest hotel there. Partied with all the pros every night and had a blast... Stretch hummer took us to the TV studio every day...

    Will do when i get a little time... I will say from all of my discussions with pros over the course of the week about poker on what it takes to be a pro. They go through the same analyses you'll see from some of the good posters on this board.

    Definitely gave me a huge amount of confidence in my game...

    Didnt you sign a contract saying you couldnt talk about results? You should probably deleate this stuff until it airs.
