Default Noob to nlhe ring... need some guidance

I've had very limited experience with nl ring from when i first started playing poker; started with 50.00, built it up to 800.00, moved up and lost most of it, switched to sngs. been playing sngs ever since (over a year).

I have around 600.00 sitting in neteller and i'm thinking of giving it a go again while bonus hunting. some questions..

    1. should i start at 10nl or 25nl?
    2. 6max or full ring?
    3. what is the basic strategy; 2-4 tables playing top 10-20 hands only?
    4. which sites have the softest games and a nice bonus?

appreciate and pointers you can give, thanks.

    1. I'd reccomend 25NL seeing as how your properly bankrolled for it. Also many bonuses require you to play at least at 25NL to clear them at a decent rate.
2.I'd reccomend full ring to begin with, then once you feel you have a solid full ring game and want to move to 6max that's fine.
3.Generally when clearing bonuses people do multitable. The more tables you can play at once without negatively affecting your game the better, because you'll clear bonuses faster. I'd reccomend doing a search on the forum for aokrongly's 19 hand strat.
    4. If your starting off the party skins imo have the softest games and best bonuses. Check out the Poker Rooms forums and EasyT's posts for more bonus info.
Currently at UB playing $50 NLHE 6max.
    Bankroll: ~$1900 (Almost BR'ed for 100NL.)

    25. Same opponents, more money.

    2. 6max or full ring?

    full ring. Less close decisions.

As many tables as you can, top 19 hands. Read all of Aokronglys posts. Apply them.

    4. which sites have the softest games and a nice bonus?

    Dunno.

a little town called none of your goddamn business
Move your roll to party poker and conquer the 25nl for 350$ in bonus money. Then, in no time you'll be ready for 50nl.

    1. Start at whichever you are more comfortable playing. 25NL is definitely better from a bonus stance.

    2. Start at full ring, and don't move to 6 max until you are able to develop decent reads.

    3. For strategy, ya a top 10-20 hands is a good start. Learn to tighten up in early position and loosen up on the CO and the button. Learn to spot people who make continuation bets and punish them when they slow down after a call on the flop. Put opponents on a range of hands and act accordingly. Don't build big pots with weak hands OOP (out of position). Don't make bets that will only be called by better hands.

    4. Party seems to be king with the vast amount of tables and fish. Paradise is fishy, and so is Pacific, OMG Pacific is ridiculous lol. But for bonuses you are better off with Party.

10NL Because starting at the bottom is the only way to go... well, skip both 5NL games underneath 10NL.. those two are just annoying and time consuming. When you make a profit of $100 on 10NL, move up to 25NL. I found the transition a whole lot of fun.
    2. 6max or full ring?
Full ring = less tight decisions = more easy decisions. Also, there is less variance at full ring - less swings/ less tilt.
    3. what is the basic strategy; 2-4 tables playing top 10-20 hands only?
Buy-in for the max, always. Only play top 20 hands. practice position (most important element in texas hold'em NL). Try to figure out what your opponent has, try to think about why they would bet they way they are... would you do the same with your cards in this hand?
    4. which sites have the softest games and a nice bonus?
I hear partypoker has the sftest games and pokerstars has the hardest. go to bonuswhore.com for more info on slutting the bonuses. GL!
