Yeah, he's got you beat but could you play this hand any worse? How does the river Ten improve your hand any that it justifies a bet?

I was thinking Euph line here sucks my ass...

If you're beat on the turn then i see no way that you wont be beat on the river unless some guy played AK even worse then your AT...

My play is to probably donk the flop no one raised so I want to see where my ace is, and then the hand plays WAY different from there...

Any discussion on a PFR and then a flop donk given your not limp 3bet PF…

When he checked the flop (his AF was over 2) I strongly suspect monster. Either a J or AA or AJ.

Betting the turn hurts me more than it helps me, as I have to call a turn raise, though I do give the FD a free card.

I guess a check/call woulda worked and cost the same.

    Oh wow wait.

I misplayed it bad. bad. bad.

When i was playing the hand I didn't realize he didn't raise preflop. Woulda sworn he did.

    GG me.

    Yar. Donk the flop.

It actually makes your hand much, much worse. Splitting with any A that doesn't have you beat, and losing to any other reasonable hand that calls.

In that case, a bet/fold is not horrible, since no worse hand can ever raise here.
It does seem to me that check/call (expecting to lose) is the best option though.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
