Table talk during the rebuy period?
This is a question for chardrian, gabe, and anyone else here who regularly plays rebuys. I've started getting into them and I'm having more success than I've had in freezeouts, although my sample size is small. When I'm playing a rebuy, I like to get all-in preflop on coinflips until I've built my stack to at least 8000 chips or so, then I ease up and conserve my chip stack unless I get a solid hand. If other people at the table are also gamb00ling, I'm pretty much guaranteed to get myself a stack eventually, but what do you guys do if everyone at your table just likes to see cheap flops and your all-ins are only getting called by premium hands?
I usually just ignore the chat when I'm playing, but in a 3R last night I tried to use table talk to loosen the other players up and get them to start calling my all-ins. When I saw that a bunch of people were limping, I said "During this hour the big blind is the size of my stack!" The next hand the same people limped and I said "NO LIMPING" and went all-in with Q5o and showed when everyone folded. Is this a good strategy for getting people to start gamb00ling with you or is it worthless?
