I've been doing some thinking about my poker game as of late, and I think I need to make some changes. The last couple months have been great, I started December with a little over $200 in my account, then it got close to $900 using really conservative bankroll management. Everything seemed to be working right, I was avoiding bad situations and was always getting the money in with the best hand. I've had a bad downswing lately, and I look through my hand histories and I can't find a mistake...thats when I started to think my game might need to be changed. I adjusted my game according to the table, adjusted to short handed play and played aggressive on the bubble, played smart but things still didn't work.

I realized when my big hands weren't paid off, I never got a chance to build any kind of stack...constantly finding myself in bad situations where I have to push (correct pushes) that often get called by better hands or just dont hold. Even when you are making all the smart decisions, theres still luck involved. Sometimes I think that maybe I'm not taking enough risks...I do make moves, but only when I know they're going to work.

For the more experienced MTT'ers or SNG'ers, how do you deal with this situation? Maybe I should post entire HH's so I can get better advice...
