Default Two hands from Full Tilt 25/50

This hand happened a few minutes after I sat down.
What's the word for it- oh yea, PWNED. I believe this is the sickest call someone's made against me, it was so sick I couldn't get mad.

I don't think I played this hand poorly, but I can't say I was happy with the outcome. I guess an argument can be made for a bigger bet on the turn. Btw krisqueen is awesome, one of the best online NL players.

How annoying are those rail birds when you are playing? Do you turn off the observer chat?
Dealer: bencathers has two pair, Aces and Deuces
Dealer: Tbags has two pair, Kings and Jacks
Dealer: Tbags finished the tournament in 256th place

I definately don't think his call was sick here Possy. As a matter of fact, I'm sure he put you on exactly AK. The way you played the hand tatooed AK on your forehead. You reraised preflop, check called the JT flop, and then when he checked behind the turn you attempted to purchase the river with what he knew you to already have. Your purchase bet size only made it easier for him to call, though he may have called any amount with such a powerful story unfolding from your actions.

I think you have to consider certain things here. You just sat down. D'agastino is more willing to make an investment in a showdown against you for a read if he thinks there's a fair chance he's ahead. The clincher is he wants to establish a strong line with you anyway as a new player at the table. Even if he loses the showdown he gains a lot. These factors coupled with an easy read (IMO) led to a call that was less than sick.

I also tend to think D'Agastino is a little sheriffy, but take it with a grain of salt. It's just what I've observed when I see him play. He can get loose passive through a few hands here and there, though that's probably not what happened here. Who knows what kind of mood he was in when you sat down.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I fully agree with you Rondavizzle. I butchered this hand like no other. My pre-flop min-raise is giving away way too much information on my hand, and has no fold equity. I don't know what I was thinking min-raising from the SB like that, it's just asking for trouble against a top-notch player like Dags.
My flop call was weak- I should've either lead out or check-raised, either play would have had a good chance folding villain.
My river bluff doesn't make a whole lot of sense- what legit hand can I represent with my $1500 bet into a $2000 pot? I guess it kinda looks like I could be trapping with AA-TT, or a blocking bet with AJ/pair of tens, but those hands are somewhat unlikely given my actions.
What I should of done is re-raise preflop to at least $600, lead flop, and if Dags had the balls to see the turn, hammer turn. I fucked this hand up royally, I guess part of the reason for that is I was being all self-conscious and homo because I was playing a hand with Dags. Moral of the story- don't be a bitch and let other people affect you. That is all.

You are a fish in the 25/50 game, why are you even playing it?

The 33 call wasn't even close to sick, it was easy. You were like waving a flag saying you had high cards.

well i think its awesome that you took a shot in the 25/50 game, but what I reccommend is this: unless you can avoid individual players, don't sit at tables with those who are in books.

and tell krisqueen to get over here and give us some direction. it would be pretty sweet to have our own el d.

I built it from scratch. There's a thread on here where I talk about it. I definitely do not consider myself rich; I live frugally, don't have any assets beside my bankroll, and I don't buy expensive things.
And to SmackingYaUp- I sat down at this game because there was a player who was tilting hard. I misplayed my hand against Dags, but aside from that I felt I played decent, and that I benefited from the experience. Also, your advice about not sitting down at tables with people who are in the books is bunk. For example, Layne Flack is dead money when it comes to NL cash games online. I've personally taken about 5 dimes off him in one session, and I can tell you most of it was his fault. The players who are "in the books" are the players who have had success playing the big tourneys, and that doesn't necessarily mean they're any good at cash games.

No, I've been playing mostly 5/10 at Bodog and Inter, some 10/20 at the latter.
