Default More profitable, NL $25 or NL 50

    Ponder this for a moment...

    What's more profitable....2 Tabling NL $50 or 4 Tabling NL $25?
I am thinking about doing moving back down to NL$25 and playing 4 tables. I am still making money at NL $50, but my BB/100 is way down. Any advice on this idea?

    Thanks!

There is no answer to your question, other than DEPENDS. Your own qualities as a poker player is the most important aspect. It also depends on how much the lower stake differ from the higher and vice versa. You can make it easy though, if you have a sufficient amount of hands you can let the math make the decisions for you. Simply play where your winrate is higher. If you dont have a large enough sample of hands, then once again your question is impossible to answer unless you be a little more specific.

But now we are talking strictly in terms of profit. If your goal is to develop into a better pokerplayer I would advice to stick to 50NL and move up as soon as you have the bankroll and the confidence for it. Generally, I strongly dislike the idea of moving down a limit. Sometimes it is necessary because you simply cannot beat the stake, or because your bankroll is too small. In my opinion you should never move down just to feel a little more comfortable.

Look at your records and decide for yourself. In my case I used to think I could make more at 25nl but then I adapted to 50nl and got a bit better and now I beat that pretty good too. I'm not talking about party rockfest 50nl btw.
