Default Transforming to LAGG from TAGG

In $25 n/l ring game is it more of an advantage to be a LAGG player who has reads than a TAGG player who has reads in the long term. Yesterday I transformed myself to be a LAGG player and it worked out pretty well for the first couple of ours. I was up almost a couple hundos. Although you play more hands, you'll start to see your bankroll chip away, but for the good of it your building an image on the table and your big hands will win more than usual. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons for both playing styles??? I've heard that LAGGing in $50
n/l works out pretty well but is there any $25 n/l players here would LAGGs and earns profit??

$25NL is full of LAGG players and we all know it is the best to play opposite of the majority. Therefore TAGG is better for $25NL IMO.

I disagree. I think that 25nl is full of loose-passive players.

Playing loose-aggressive is a good option at any level, providing that you can do it profitably. The reason that many people play tight-aggressive at 25nl is that they do not have the required skills for LAGG play, and also that it is so easy to make money at 25nl just by camping.

How many times have you seen a guy flip over 74 on a 56JQ3 that you have raised with QJ playing LAGG style. I find it very hard to play LAGG on $25NL due to inability to put my opponents on a hand. Been a lot more successful at $25NL maybe because it is much tighter with a lot of rocks.

Absolutely. I see people *trying* to Lagg it up all the time at £25NL, and only a tiny proportion of these actually consitently make money from it. They know when to fold, they know when to stay in, they know how to make their big hands pay off, and they're very good at reading their fellow players and picking up on their weaknesses.

Otherwise, TAgg play is so straightforwardly profitable that I'd strongly recommend players stick with it until they feel confident enough to gradually explore more LAggy play.

Ok thanks for all the replies. I'll stick with being a TAGG player until i reach the next limit. I've learned so much in the past couple of weaks on how to be aggressive postflop that it disrupted the way I play preflop. I think when I reach $50 n/l I'll be able to make the transition smoothly.

it's god to play TaGG and keep an eye out for opportunities to make a "move" so long as you know why you're doing it.

for many players decide "I'm going to LaGG it up" but they don't know what they're doing, when, and why, nor how". an incremental approach is to play your normal TaGG game and open up a repetoire of situations where you can attack.

position play, aggressively playing a draw, river raise bluff, semi-bluff, etc. and you'll get to "play poker" without having to take away from your game too much
