not if hes raised 5 pots in a row. If hes essentially raising with any 2 cards, what makes you think he will have a pair now? I think there are pretty good odds that he doesnt given his play. | |

Doesn't anyone else ride close edges like this? I see nothing wrong with this if his read was right. I do this kind of thing now and then, and I don't regret it. I've called off my whole stack with 22 on a J78 board just because I knew the opponent wiffed. It isn't a leak. It's a decision. It's a decision that Math doesn't like maybe, but you can't always rely on math. | |

Didn't anyone read the title of the thread? Rippy made a play based on a read. You can "what if" all you want, but that wasn't the point of the thread. I find it funny that I'll see people say that "real" poker isn't even about the cards and then in their next post they'll make comments about someone's play that are based solely on the cards they see. | |

Well serves him right for raising 4 times in a row. It seems like you got all uppity preflop after seeing him do this, and then got lucky catching a piece of the flop. He got all uppity because you raised him back and thought that maybe his ace was still good. |
