Yeah I agree. PokerStars' ring is pretty much of a grind. The first day I played there I was up 25, then the next day I was down to almost hundred cause of the beats. (And I must say there are a lot of flopped straights or flushes there). Then the next day I was up 6. I played roughly about 10+ hours of break even poker. Not fun. I guess it's back to Paradise or I'll try UB and get a Bonus.

There are a lot of very tight players at Stars, but once you know who they are you soon stop paying them off. There is also more action at 6 max and its easier to create it there; loosen up for 30 mins and all the TAGS have you noted as a maniac and then let them pay you off (just be careful never to get burnt too badly!) I have played Paradise as well and I have to say at 25NL I dont notice THAT much of a difference, but I gave up on full ring there a while back.

Well I headed to Ultimate Bet and I must say their software is one of the nicest ones I've played in. I like the option of folding and showing your cards (to show your opponents that you made monster laydown when you know you were beat). Their initial deposit bonus is great but hopefully It won't be too hard to clear it.

Pokerstars tournament structure looks nice compared to Party, but it still sucks. Having an average stack means 10 x BB at Stars. At UB there is so much play in the tournaments, the average stack is around 20-25 x BB and if you have a big stack you might have up to 50 x BB, lots of fun. UB has good cash games as well.

When you say good cash games, what do you mean? And specifically what levels are you referring to? |
