Default Bankroll Management at the table (is the wife right)

This became a debate with my wife today, so Im giving it some thought.

I keep a br target of 200 (.25/.5 limit), 10 nl with cashouts at 250. Ive been running bad since my last cashout and wittled down to a low 100 ish amount. Im also newer to the nl side online, so Im not certain im beating the game or by how much.

To the point I made the mistake when my wife called of bragging that I was deepstacked for 14 buy ins. Well when she got home Im down to 5, and shes a little upset. Is she right? When a major new addition to the bnkroll is on the table Is it time to bank and start fresh? I understand the advantages of being deep, but when it becomes comparatively large Is it just irresponsible not to set that new and major portion of the br aside and start fresh?

Sorry if this sounds confused I have the flu and my head hurts.

If you are unconfident in your ability to keep that stack, or if you feel that sometines you get a bit loose when you are deepstacked then I don't see much reason not to bank it. Better off keeping it safe.

Its important to understand though that in the long long run (which is how you should be thinking) the money is no safer off the table then on it.

there isnt anything wrong with winning a lrge stack, leaving the table baning it and quitting. Indeed if you win a multi way all in can u deal with the adrenaline?
If you want to stay then stay, just play the pokah that got you the stack. If not bank it and admire it as the br moves upwards!

If you want sex, your girlfriend is always right. Once you're married, whether you want sex is irrelevant.

I'd say you jinxed yourself and basically let your guard down. Also when I win big I sometimes will cash out and call it a night ESP when it comes to NL where one pot can wipe out your weeks earn rate.I can def understand why your girl was upset.
