Default did i show too much fear?

Did I show too much fear in folding my QQ in the hand below? I was fearful of being up against AA, KK or JJ (trips) and couldn't imagine Hawk59 calling the re-reraise pre flop with anything less and not folding on the flop unless he had a big hand. Maybe I should've bet the flop harder, but I had two opponents at the time. I learned very early on that QQ is a classic no-limit trap hand.

    I'd appreciate any advice.

With that re-raise preflop, he will have you beat more times than not unless he was a complete maniac. AA, KK, JJ got you beat so I would fold this too.

actually bunthorne was the one who reraised pf. then the hawk guy just called. i think if hawk had AA or KK he reraises or pushes. I think he had JJ. He might not have had JJ though... When you just checked the turn he may have thought you tried to bluff the flop so he might have had 10 10 there and thought you had nothing. you should have bet the turn. he also might very well have had AJ at 1/2 i see that all the time.

I see what you are saying, but:

    1. If he had JJ he would not have called a double preflop raise with that? I wouldn't (maybe I play too tight) as if I had JJ and was facing two raises I would figure at least one opponent for a higher pair or mayke AK or AQ, in which case JJ is only 5/6 favourite.

    2. I suspect he had KK (i agree now that with AA he would push ai, but would he really push ai with KK facing two preflop raises? I would we wary of one of my opponents holding AA.

    3. If he had TT, again would he call two preflop raises and when the J hit the flop and I bet it, surely he would dump his hand?

    4. I wouldn't call two preflop raises with AJ either.

That's why I suspect he had KK (maybe AA) and why I folded.

Like I say, maybe I play too tight and think too much?!?!

    1. believe me many people at 1/2 would overvalue JJ
2.KK would push to if he was smart.... if you have KK you cant be scared of AA pf unless you have a really great read like on how he bets AA pf
3.I dont know how good this guy is, but yes there are many players who would call there with 1010 or even 99... ive seen it too many times
4.i agree with this but again ive seen players do this before at 1/2 nl

i think the main thing was you should have bet on the turn again
