I had been pushing about 1 hand per orbit previous to this hand.

The table texture was relatively tight, and raises were getting respect.

    Would you push here?

UTG, 6 handed, you're not really that desperate... at least not enough to blast through 5 other people... 88 or higher, I think yes, in this case no. But I'm the bubble's bitch.

I think not under the gun and the fact that you have been pushing once every orbit makes your image a bit suspect. Someone with a good ace may wake up and it's very possible that someone in better postion has a better pair. If you really want to play you have enough to limp.

also I think you would for sure be OK playing against the BB... if maybe there are 1-2 opps you'd rather not play against for the stack but some you would - based on reads - I could see making it 500-600 then folding if the wrong opp came over top.

I think it's a push if the tables tight enough. (To not call with like KJo or ATo)

I agree - the problem with pushing in this spot is that on a tight table, if anybody calls, you'll at best be a coinflip and at worst come up against a higher pocket pair. I would make it 600 to go - you want to see a flop here before you get the rest of your chips in. Hopefully a 3x BB raise will also isolate the BB who would have only 300 chips left - and I would be happy to take my chances with 66 against whatever he has. If he folds, well, you're happy to pick up the blinds. If anybody else comes over the top of you, I think it's a fold on a tight table.
