    Default why do casino dealers....

    why do casino dealers tap the table before going to the next card? it seems pointless

    I think it's to indicate no more action and also let the players know they are about to do it so they know it's time to watch (up until that point they might have been watching other players for a read/etc).

    Yah, it could be so that players have a chance to tell the dealer to stop incase they were about to show the next card prematurely.
