Default oh my gosh......what the heck

can you guys tell me if i played this hand wrong or not?

i was playing $.50/1 NL last night on fulltilt. I got dealt A,T in UTG. I raised 3 times the BB. I havent played that many hands so a lot of players folded expect this one caller. I know it's not a raising hand but I wanted to play aggressive with it. The flop came out A, 8, deuce with two spades...I was holding only 1 spade which was the ace. I bet out half the pot. He called, the next card was 6 of spade. I checked, he bet out half the pot and I pushed him all in. I just didnt think he had a flush already.....even if he did, one more spade would give me the ace high flush. I mean I knew he didnt have AK and if he had AQ or AJ..maybe he will think his kicker isnt big enough. Anyway, He called my $130 some dollar all in and turned over K. 8 hearts. He had 8s...with king kicker. He said he thought I had low PP. Riiiiiight. Well, the river was a king. I lost $150 right there.....I mean I had a feeling he got lucky but mayeb I should have pushed him all in after the flop? How would you guys have played this particular hand?

When did you stop making decisions? On the turn. Were you ahead? Yes.

    Don't complain.

Although reraising all in is a questionable move since you have only 13 - 4 - 2 = 7 outs to the flush - something like 13%

but against his hand it was obviously correct

or on being damn lucky that your push acutally got called by a worse hand. I dont see this happening too much with AT tpwk. You should be folding ATo utg, with almost no exceptions.

played horribly, out of your bankroll, out of position, without reads and extremely lucky.

    dont do that.

AT may look pretty, but it's not playable UTG at a full table. Fold that sh1t.

Agreed, in ring I don't play Ax when x is below J unless its suited, and if I don't my flush on those below J, I fold.

Don't play out of your bankroll.

if you are going to play out of your roll, don't gamble with bad hands in bad position...
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

Playing out of your bankroll has nothing to do with bringing enough to the table, it's about knowing that you have enough to handle a run of bad beats without losing everything.

Bad beats WILL happen, sometimes you will lose 5 buyin's in a row even playing perfectly.

Playing out of your bankroll is asking to go broke.

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

$150 is plenty to play 10NL, but not 100NL

All you can do is get the money in with the best hand.

    Don't be so results oriented.
