Default This happens a lot at 200NL...

When I raise preflop and the flop comes high cards I will get bluffed at after my continuation bet on the flop. How do you deal with hands like these? Just limp preflop? I think its weak but it keeps the pot smaller with my marginal holdings.

Probably a bad call, but his minraise was weak and I thought I had the implied odds to continue. Turns out I had the best hand the whole time.

Went on a little tilt and this hand came up later. My read was on sort of, but I only had a 5% advantage and ended up losing.

I really don't think my ten kicker was good enough to continue, but this guy could easily have thought I was bluffing and have some sort of low pp or a jack with a lower kicker as he was in the blinds. Good fold?

hand 1: what makes you think the guy bluffed you?
hand 2: the guy wasn't bluffing, he had a good draw and you had nothing so you should have folded. instead, YOU bluffed.
hand 3: not sure this is relevant.

I guess for the first hand, why are you raising 10J O/s?. With 10j (a hand I find myself getting in a lot of trouble with) what is then the optimal flop? Do you want to flop a straight? That flop was ugly, as any A or K beat you and you were hoping for a queen. If I get check-raised here, I fold, bluff or not. Smooth calling is not an option. That sensed either weakness or a draw.

Then the turn gives you a card that you actually want - I guess when you saw the turn card, it was either a Queen or you weren't happy? Why did you call that bet? Would you of called an All in if the turn was a J (he probably would of went all in with a J)? How was your read on this guy?

Hand #1 the guy shows J3o at the end of the hand if you read the full history. I called the turn because a queen, jack or ten now and I feel that I have him beat.

Hand #2 the guy check raises me with his flush draw, he is semibluffing

Hand #3 A flop like that no one believes that you hit anything on. It is complete rags, AK will often go AI on a flop like that.

Both hand #2 and hand #3 have similar flops, which I find a lot of people bluffing at because it is likely no one hit it. I guess I have problems playing J10 shorthanded. How do you guys generally play it at a short table?

Here is another crazy hand from 200NL. I normally don't call raises with A8o but this guy was playing pretty maniacal as you can see. Same opponent as in hand #3.

I usually limp and hope for a miracle if there's a couple of other limpers or fold it PF... its just not a strong hand... AJ KJ or even QJ (which are all hands people limp with) dominate it and often if you hit two pair someone has a straight draw or a straight...

Final hand is pretty crazy. Nice river, although that didn't even seem necessary (ace high wins it).... I guess if you are playing J10, its really going to be read dependent with the guys you are plying

Technically they were both bluffing since they were in there raising with unmade hands. One guy had a queen high flush draw and one over, which I wouldn't call a "good" draw - particularly not good enough for a check-raise, unless you just feel like changing up for whatever reason. Our hero in this piece had two overs and a backdoor flush draw, which is also not a great draw - so I can only imagine he had some kind of read that told him pushing here was a good idea. (Repping the overpair?) The guy calling with just his flush draw was a retarded monkey. Whatever you might think of the merits of his check-raise, calling that all in was ridiculous unless he had an iron-clad read that the bet was a complete bluff. And even though hero had nothing, he still had the other dumbass on the wrong side of a coinflip after he made that call.

This is not standard play for me. These are very read dependent situations involving bluffs by me and my opponents that I thought I would post for discussion. Do you play much 6max? If its folded to me and I'm going to play I'm raising, I don't care if its 67s or J10o. Yes I reraised the turn with 8 outs, and I was called by King high with 6 outs. Also, if you'll notice I am on the button or CO in all these hands except the KQs hand.
