Default What are your biggest winners?

    Dear all,
Out of curiosity, what hands are your biggest winners?
Which hands do you consider to hold most potential for winning big pots?

For me so far, it is J6os (from the small blind) which took down a monster vs AA and KK on a 66K-flop with A-turn and 6-river!

    Thanxs,
    roy3

My biggest NL pot (net win of 90BB) was with Q2s - not sure why I went so far with two pair but hell, it paid off.

10-K suited... although it almost destroyed me in a blind steal in the late stages of a tournament (against AK) before a 10 saved my lucky ass

Aces. Wham bam. No matter how badly I play them sometimes, they just can't lose.

As far as biggest pot, I've taken down several pots that were 6+ buy-ins with middle pairs. Two biggest were with TT, against a lower set and aces in the same pot, all players with big stacks.

Also, one with 88, flop QQ8, vs KQ and aces.

smaller pairs, definitely. My most profitable ones are 44, 55, 88, and 99. Wee hee, hitting sets sure is fun when somebody pays you off.

    how about aces hitting sets
that makes more money since there's no overset possibility

    Not True.

Aces hitting a set usually cripples the deck (unless somebody else owns the case ace then you are lucky)

We're talking about the biggest pots.

The biggest pot that's not that rare is when someone makes kings full of aces
and you make aces full of kings

if fact what the second card is not relevant
when someone has two pair and fills up
and you hit a set of aces and it becomes a boat
    it's kthx

when we're talking largest pots out of all pots that you win, it's still aces if you somehow manage to go all in preflop

When you flop a set of aces, unless the board is paired, the turn will always bring a possible straight. And as already mentioned, it is a lot harder to get paid off with a set of aces as oppossed to a smaller set. If you're worried about over sets then you're probably playing too weak-tight anyways.

So you're saying, that if someone has a full house of kings full of aces and you have aces full of kings, YOU STILL CLAIM YOU CAN HAVE A BIGGER POT WITH SOME OTHER HANDS? No straight flush vs. royal flush BS, plz.

When it gets to this level, it doesnt even matter. When you are dealing with two-card aces-full boat vs a two-card kings-full boat, the fact that you are dealing with aces and kings is really a moot point. Boat Vs Boat, Boat vs quads, and everything even more rediculous is going to be a monster hand, regardless of what kinds of cards are involved. I mean, hell, set to set on a rag board is going to be a monster. So when you ask "CAN [you] HAVE A BIGGER POT WITH SOME OTHER HANDS?" My answer is, yes, because cards dont matter when you are deaing with monster vs monster.

Yeah, but if it goes bet-raise-reraise-allin before the action gets back to me and I see a set of deuces on a 2-4-J board I may consider folding. Now if I have a bigger set like a set of kings on a 4-K-A board, I WILL NEVER LAY IT DOWN NO MATTER WHAT THE ACTION IS

Sure, let's say we don't discuss monster vs. monster

Then let's discuss KK vs. AA all-in preflop. Oh wait, huge pot. Way bigger pot than 22 vs. 33 can brew.

Tell me how a big pot may develop and I'll tell you why aces could make a bigger pot in that situation.
