Do you guys play these? I think of them as sucker tournaments. I've played a few, knocked some people out and they just rebuy. Kind of frustrating.

There you go - that's completely correct. Most of the early chip leaders just simply got lucky on the flop. They are often tight/scared players who then loosen up when they have more chips... more willing to call All-in with 22, more likely to play K-9 suited and then chase until they lost half their stack.

I like to camp during the first hour. I find that I can usually end up with and average stack after the R/A period ends, and I only put $20 into an $11+r usually. This is good because the avg person puts about $40-$50 with all the rebuy's and add-ons. I only rebuy if I got sucked out and there is a crazy guy at my table willing to call with anything.

I've played a few R&A's on Party recently, and noticed you can rebuy while you're all in before the hand is over. So it's possible to get a big lead early by repeatedly going all-in and rebuying - and if you win a few hands, your chip stack will skyrocket.

I enjoy playing RnA's. I look for the opportunity to double up early and then let other people duke it out during the rebuy period. Just remember the real tournament doesn't start till after the rebuy ends. On Poker Stars, I like the 25k grnty rebuy for $10+1. The rebuys and add on are only $10 and you only pay $1 in fees. I look at it as a tourney that will cost me $31, $51 or $71 to get in. Just keep in mind, the more you buy in, the further you have to get in the money to make a profit.

Yep, it's madness that first hour... you love TPTK because people will move with TP no K, second pair + an over, any draw, etc etc etc.... but you hate TPTK because you see a lot of random two pair hands and sets are more likely with the deep stacks.
