I mentioned I own a motorcycle, and that I need a car. I guess I need to mention that a motorcycle is my primary vehicle (and has been for the past 5 years). Doesn't it go without saying that I know how to ride it?
I'm not into racing or stunts, so maybe on that level, you could say I don't know how to ride.
If you consider me to be someone you know, then now you know at least one person who feels this way.

I have never heard of Valentino Rossi (until I just Googled the name), and I'm not into throwing insults around.
He's Italian? Aren't scooters hugely popular vehicles in Italy? That's not really affecting life in St. Louis.
It's probably just a cultural thing.
