Not half as drunk as I should be to post in this thread... but as everyone else has left I guess I'll post here...

Went to my parents place, slept the night, sister was about this afternoon playing 'christmas music' with my niece said she was having a party, slightly tongue in cheek but it seemed like a good excuse... I asked her how long she would be staying for... she said a couple of hours.

I cracked open my bottle of JD that's been sitting in the cupboard here for a while, had one drink and she decided to leave... the two events weren't related at least I don't think they were lol.

Anyway despite passing company - now everyone has dissapeared. I called my friend up for a game of pool... arranged to meet at 7pm at 6pm he calls and tells me his ex wife has a power cut so he has to look after his 2 young children... so now It's 6:45pm and I'm sitting in the living room with status quo playing on tv from my iomega screenplay director thing... with a laptop and a half glass of JD....

The fact I care to commit this sorry state of affairs to writing is suggestive of a less than sober state of mind, but I'm still reasonably coherent so haven't quite passed that subtle point yet...

Anyway... Have called two other people who at such short notice can't make it out.. so am thinking about going to a local pub tonight. I have work tomorrow but this is always the problem once you get a few drinks in you.. you want the great atmosphere to continue (well I do anyway)...

I went to a pub last weekend had a couple of games of pools with regulars, nice fella's in there... so I'm thinking of going there tonight.. it's cold here but the alternative is drinking my jd as the only person drinking in the house for the next few hours and then going to bed which doesn't really feel that appealing at the moment...

Edit: decided to stay in after all... work tomorrow, watched a movie instead called 'all of me' it was quite funny. I've been studying some open Yale psych course and it was aluded to by the lecturer.

3 dbl jds was more than enough! Nice to have a clear head in the morning... I must be getting old!
