What do I play with my bankroll?

Lets say I have a 600 dollar bank roll.. What NL cash game and what buyin tournments should I be playing? How do I know when to take it to the next level?

That's 60 BI's to 10nl. If you're not very sure of your level of play. I'd say play at 10nl and don't move on until you consistently beat it for say.. 10k hands?

I mean I am convident with my level of play I was just wondering what I should be playing...

that's 24 BI's at 25nl.. no higher.

Please explain to me how you are confident with your level of play and you don't even know simple things like bankroll management? Enlighten me!!

Ragnar is spot on here in thinking that it isn't just a matter of what your roll is or how many buyins you have for a specific stake. You need to know whether you are a winner at that stake or a winner at the previous stakes. You could deposit $10k but if you can't beat 200nl then why would you think you should play it?

So if you know that you can beat 10nl then play 10nl. If you know you can beat 25nl then play it. But you must be able to look back at a sample size at that stake and see that you beat it. A sample size of over 20k imo.

But in all honestly, just deposit $50 and play 2nl, then move up accordingly.

seems like he doesnt understand what $2nl/10nl/ etc is, so ill try to explain it drunk .

you take the BB (Big Blind) of the table and multiply that by 100 and u get your buy in which is where the 10NL 2nl etc comes from. so 0.01 / $ 0. 02 is 2cent times 100 = 2.00 = $2N.

Sorry guys, A little drunk last night when I posted...
With a bank roll of 600 what do normal people play with that stack? I play 1/3 and 2/5 both at the boat and I have had about 4 losing sessions in the last 3 months playing multiple times a week. I kinda wanna be conservatie with my onlione bank roll. Do you think at .50/1 I will be playing against people that are actually legit or should I move up to 1/2 to get people that are a little better? Any advice would bea apperciated. Thanks again for putting up with me.

You need 20+ 100bb buyins for the stakes you want to play. What stakes does that put you at?? Cuz it sure aight .5/1 or 1/2. And it also isn't 50nl. And because you don't have much experience at online poker (assumption), then you shouldn't even start out at 25nl. Go for 10nl (.05/.1) and if you manage to beat it over say 10k hands, then move up to 25nl (.1/.25) and see how you do. Then continue to move up when you have around 25 buyins for the level above.

If you want to have uber-aggressive BRM with $600 play 50nl, if you want to be a bit cautious, 25nl, if you want to be ultra-nitty 10nl.

I'd play 25nl until you have either $1000 and move up to 50nl or $300 and move down to 10nl.

Unless its at a casino, live rake sucks. Poker clubs usually take too much, add in tip n u need to be really killing it to show profits. Luckily most people that play there are so horrible.
