A couple of days ago I was in a $1 entry MTT with 1900 entrants. I had a good day and was 4th in chips with 50 some players left. After the 2nd or 3rd break,I happened to be at the same table as the chip leader. He was using his stack to push some players around.
Then this hand came up. Don’t remember the exact bettering to the turn, but it was about 10% - 20% of my stack.

I’m holding

Ad Qd

Flop comes

Kd Jc 4d

Turn is 7d

He goes all in, I figure he had a set or maybe two pair. Maybe a flush. Either way he has to draw to beat me so I call.

He has K J and hits a J on the river, I finish in 53rd place.

If this is a ring game, it’s a no brainer. I’m getting better than even money on a made hand. At best, he has what, 10 outs? Well one of 4 outs sent me home.

My question is this. Should have I put all my chips at risk in this position? If I take it down I have a BIG lead. Or do I back off to ITM?
