Bankroll Management, many players have heard the concept but still fail to practice it. First, what is your bankroll? Your bankroll, quite simply, is the amount of money you are investing into your poker game. The big keyword there is investing, investing is all about making smart decisions.

Your bankroll should be treated as your baby, when you treat it good, it's happy and grows. Treat it bad however, and it can be gone before you know it. You need to make intelligent decisions such as not playing too high, making sure you're at the right level, and constantly readjusting your shot-taking. You need intelligent risk, not stupid chasing your loses risk.

This is related to your psychology just as much it is to strategy. Protecting your bankroll is a mindset. You know taking shots can have devastating consequences. Practicing long term vision and controlling how much money you risk in any given session will take a huge hurdle out while learning this game called poker.
