Hello all.....
Simple question, I think. How do you mass multitablers do it? Are there tools available to help manage tables when you are playing 12-24 of them at a time?

There are some tools like autohotkey, etc. Personally I can play 12-16 without any extra software, but I usually only play 6-8. It significantly lowers your edge per table, so until you've developed a proven winning game that you can play on autopilot, it is pointless to play more than a few tables.

I ten table but have read about those that play more and they use a simmiliar technique but just play faster I think, stacking. If your screen allows you can have two seperate stacks (or if you're 24 tabling I'd guess you could have 4 stacks of 6). This gives you a kind of compromise between being able to keep track of some action while not having to look across 24 tables to find out where you're next due. I found this much easier than tiling the tables. I find it too distracting to have a mass of tables in front of me, but with one table at a time (because I only 10 table so can get away with one stack) there's no distractions at all. |

Hmm never heard of table ninja, the ahk script should work as it works through windows and just moves the tables about, it's a really simple script the code's already built into ahk, here's the code, you'd just change 100,500 to the co-ordinates you want to move the table to (I just experimented until I found the right numbers) - End is the key you use, you can change this to almost any key you want (see here for more info on that: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Hotkeys.htm#Intro) |

In one of spoon's posts he suggests taking however many tables you normally play and adding one table to this amount, getting used to it for a few weeks until its as easy as the old amount, and then repeating this process.

If you are looking to multi table I would recommend obv once you know you are a winnnig player to drop down in stakes where is dosn't matter to lose a buy in or two. I moved to nl2 until I could do 9 table and was comfortable. Before that I could only do 4. Once I did 9, 12 wasn't really that much harder. I do not use any other software other than Holdem Manager for my hud. I minimize all my screens to the smallest available and lay them out tile pattern. There is actually a tile or cascade option on stars that will auto align your tables for you. I originally had 1 22" flatscreen and could do 15 tables on one screen with a minimum amount of overlap. I always sit at the same seat so I am not looking around the table and or getting confused. I picked up a second 22" monitor and can do 24. But as said above the more tables the less quality desicions based off time and information that is available.

Since this post, I've determined that I can only effectively multitable 6 tables at a time. Once I get above that, even with something like table ninja, things go south quickly. |

You're doing extremely well, why add a bunch of tables when that win rate will have you at 50nl in 3 - 6 weeks of playing, depending on how many hours you can get in? |

I never play more than 10 FR tables, and I often back off to 9 or 8. |

Avoid the fast table, ldo, and use a hotkey script coupled with a joystick. It's FAR quicker than mouse/keyboard and it will avoid carpeltunnel. Also, it helps to orient your play towards simple decisions(which... yes makes you exploitable by great players - they'll put you in tough spots.. which you should be doing against other mega-tablers). It's important when you're learning not to play beyond your comfort level though, but don't get complacent. Add a table a week. I can play 20 now still evaluating each opponents hand as a properly defined range and my equity/fold equity against it.
