Default looking for some 10nl tips

Ive only played 1000 hands of weekend FR 10nl, but have noticed a big difference from 5nl.

More nits running 15/15 - 10/10 or thereabouts

lots of 20bb SS'ers who are shoving ~13% pre

Is there any other differences? Can anyone offer me advice on how to approach this?

I stove my hand vs the SSer shoving range when deciding on calling or not. I steal a few blinds. So far its pretty flatline though.

    thanks in advance

Exact same thoughts as you. It's really odd how you go from 5nl everyone is 200bb deep then get to 10nl everyone is the opposite 50bb or even 25bb shortstackers everywhere I read this thread last night It seems to ease the pain of my failz haha

My advice: TAGG pokerz and learn to play with precision postflop. Should be ++EV even w/ ss'rs and "nits."

Table select a bit more and leave tables when the average VPIP is <20% unless there is a big fish still there. Avoid sitting on tables where there is a SS on your left.

Starting 50BB min tables is also great for playing HU vs donks.

I think you misspoke.. generally you want short stackers to your left because they are typically shoving <10% of hands.. steal steal steal all day and then fold to a shove if the numbers aren't right. Download all in expert to work on that part of your game. If you have ever played SNGs it'll be very easy.

Yeah my mistake they (assuming tight SS) should be on your left so you can steal like a monkey. Just play your 5NL game mbiz and adjust as needed - add in new stuff slowly.

The difference is mainly psychological, imo. We "respect" the move up and therefore look for any differences, rather than focusing on the similarities. It's just human nature. That said, OP has to take his time until he's mentally adjusted to the stakes.

All stakes are exactly the same.. the players are different on every table you go to. Adjust to the players, not the stakes.

I agree with the advice to play players and keep playing the same poker game you played before while also making adjustments as needed. That said, when I FINISHED playing $!0NL, I noted the differences from $5NL to $10NL that I encountered. Ultimately, though it's up to you to observe any changes and react accordingly.

My dick plays 10nl, so if I put the tip of my dick in your ear does that count as a 10nl tip?

In my experience the biggest difference between 5NL and 10NL (.02/.05@ stars) is that in 5NL there are more opps who stack off light. I have played extensively at both limits. If you are succesful at 5NL I think you will be succesful at 10NL. 10NL is a little tought but not a huge difference.

With solid straightforward play you will be succesful in the long run in both.
