villain is 11/10/60 AFq , his pre range is i think QQ+, AKs

on turn i think he only is AK and AA. there are more 3AA and 3AKs combos so it would be 50-50. fold or call?

It's unlikely he 3bets AKs preflop, and only calls AKo.

And if you feel it's 50-50, then it's a super easy call, as you only need 24% equity to call his all in.

I'm saying it's probably more likely that he also 3bets AKo preflop, rather than flatting it. Meaning if you think he has AKs in his range for raising the turn, then some combos of AKo are also there imo.

i dont... i am more to AA, posting to see better players opinions on this.

i tend to fold 90% of the time a hand like this against an opp with this stats.

just want to make sure folding is not wrong here.

WTF at folding here....if he has 66 and AA only, it's a call ffs. I'd say he can defo show up with AK occassionally aswell.

Isolate preflop with this hand in position.

Tom Dwan is going broke here, Phil Ivey is going broke here, and yes so am I. Not to sound like a douchebag, and maybe I've been guilty of this at one time too, but posting cooler hands is not going to make you a better poker player. Start posting hands where you had a good draw or a pair and had no idea what to do. Until then you're not going to learn much of anything.

Villain's range is wider than QQ+, AK preflop. He's on the BU and isolates 2 limpers. He's 11/10, but you honestly think he's only doing this with 4 hands? Lolz.

You're set mining preflop so snap call turn shove. Folding here is a really bad mistake.

I definitely wouldn't classify calling preflop with 88 IP as setmining.

And regardless, just because his initial plan was to setmine doesn't mean he has to never fold when he does hit a set. Here obviously, he shouldn't be folding. But there will be spots when he hits his set that he shouldn't auto ship it in because his initial plan was to setmine.

    @ stax - [ ] In position
    [x] Out of Position

but i do agree there are gonna be times where you set mine and have to fold your set, an obvious example is when the board runs out 4 to a flush and you do not have a flush and you get overbet shoved on. Obviously there are other less conspicuous examples.

    obviously call...

had a thought to fold... i waited all my time bank, like i said, villain shoves there just AA or AK, nut the main reason for calling was that if he had called turn, my river bet was a shove since stack was under a psb. so anyway i would have betted that money, and the way i thought his range AK and AA, i had to call. he showed up AA, post it here because i thought someone can find a fold here, but i see is not the case.

Yeah never folding this. IF villain is raising 1% of hands over a sample of a million, then MAYBE I can find a fold here. I think when he shoves the turn it looks more like AA than AK, but that depends on what range villain has you on. If he's got enough Ax and draws in your range, he can still shove AK. With the dead money, we only need him to have AK around one in three times, so this is an uncomfortable but easy call for me. Never folding a set unless there's four to a flush/straight or unless it's counterfeit (quads on board, 22 on 29898 board etc) or unless I have a sick 100% certain soulread.
