    Default Building the Bankroll

Getting ready to desposit $50 into full tilt. What are your opinions on the best way to make that grow with the least risk?

    I'm thinking about:
    -microstakes cash games
    -$2 sitngos
    -$2 headsup

Which one of these do you think is the easiest way to do it? I've never played a cash game, but I have read up on them. I've played a lot of $2 sitngos, but that was on bodog and they were the beginner sitngos where 5 places are paid out. I am fairly good at headsup.

    I'd appreciate any insight.

I would suggest full ring or 6-max cash. At supermicros it's pretty much free money, although I hear Full Tilt is tough at all levels. You may want to consider a different room.

i would suggest placing it somewhere else instead. FTP can be a bit tighter than most, and players there will not be so willing to "stack off" with lesser hands.

some will say that the levels dont vary much from site to site, but that is not at all what i have noticed.

you can beat the players at 10NL anywhere with some experience and skill (thightness and proper aggression), but why fight the rocks when you can scoop the fish?

just my .02 (pardon the "lisp" on THightness)

btw, if you are going after rakeback at FTP, $50 is fine. but, if you are taking advantage of the "sign up bonus," i would wait until i had more in a bankroll to fully capatalize on it. oh, and its nearly impossible to clear below 25NL.

The microlimits are fine at all sites, don't fret about it. Make sure you get rakeback, though - raketherake dot com is a good one.

Like biondino said, it's probably fine to stay where you are for microstakes.

Play $2 SnGs if you like tournaments, play the microstakes cash if you wanna play that. When I first started playing poker, I played SnGs because I liked them. You will have no problems building up no matter what you play if you stay within the BR requirements, post lots of hands, and keep trying to improve your skill. Build a bankroll and have fun at the same time!

since you asked, i would say Absolute or Cake. Bodog was a good one, too.

dont misunderstand me, i wasnt saying to fear FTP or Stars. i was saying there are looser sites out there, and if you are after fish, i want as many at my table as possible.

i used to be the biggest stars advocate in the world, "go with the volume. more players, more fish." but, i have watched flop %'s at tables and stars is tight, as is FTP.

like i said before, its not that you cant beat those sites...they suck, too. but, your roll should build faster if the players are even worse.

I don't have much trouble finding loose tables at Stars 25NL 6-max.

Yeah I see what you're saying. But what it all really boils down to for me, is what site is the best for sitngos? They are what I would like to focus my attention on at some point after I grind out a bankroll at the micros. Just because of the large amount of players, I think I'm going to go with either Full tilt or Stars. Whichever is softer. I'm guessing Stars?

    Thanks everyone for the advice.

ironically, i have better luck at FTP for SNGs.

but, stars has the reputation for having the best tourneys, in terms of players and structure. imo, its AK vs 77 (coin flip)

    sorry, bad joke.

If you're playing SNGs, definitely go for Stars. As you move up, Stars is the only site that has decent traffic at higher buyins, and at least for the turbos, lower rake above the $6.50 level.

BTW, if you're playing SNGs, come post in the SNG Tourney Tactics forum, we're a friendly bunch over there

All right, I think I might deposit on both. I don't know. I like the things being said about both and definitely like the talk of pokerstars tourneys.

Oh yeah, and I will definitley be in the sitngo forum. As soon as I play some.

    Thanks guys

I have had great luck w/ loose passive fish on Absolute, but it's a problem right now, and FTR recommends against it. i've got $10 bonus left to clear, then I'm gone.
