Guys I just realized something and I'm going to share it with you. This spawned out of a conversation in IRC, but here goes:
(insert conversation about any poker topic, say ISF's theorem for example)
(10:18:37 AM) spoonitnow: does that make sense?
(10:18:44 AM) wesrman: ya pretty much
(10:18:52 AM) wesrman: seems simple
(10:18:59 AM) spoonitnow: it is simple lol
(10:19:30 AM) Sprally: but it's not simple to bring it to the table
(10:19:38 AM) Sprally: takes practice
(10:19:53 AM) spoonitnow: practice is pretty simple
(10:19:56 AM) spoonitnow: so what's not simple about it
(10:19:59 AM) spoonitnow: practice, get better, profit
(10:20:08 AM) spoonitnow: omfg simpleman strikes again oh noes
(10:20:16 AM) ***spoonitnow runs for the hills
Like omfg, is practicing is such a foreign concept? It seems like people are so afraid of something they don't immediately understand or that seems difficult. Be glad it's difficult, because if it was easy then poker would be hard as fuck to make money at because everyone would be good at it.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I went to pwn some fish one time and accidentally had thoughts while playing. Was the weirdest shit ever.
Idk, I guess this is sort of a not-so-hidden miniature rant, except I didn't say fuck like 40 times.

On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, son, Ive made a life out of readin peoples faces,
And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.
So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see youre out of aces.
For a taste of your whiskey Ill give you some advice.
So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, if youre gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
Now evry gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause evry hands a winner and evry hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count you r money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
