This werewolf game will be played between the following 21 players:

This game will initially have 3 Werewolves

The werewolf knows the identity of the other werewolves and wins on the condition that the number of surviving wolves equals or surpasses the number of surviving villagers at any point. The wolves are allowed to communicate with each other privately at any time. The werewolves collectively control one kill each night.

The game will initially have 1 Angel

The angel knows only his own role. The angel is considered a villager. The angel's winning condition is the same as the village, the death of all the werewolves. The angel may protect one person each night from being killed. Angel can not protect him/herself.

The game will initially have 1 Medium

The medium knows only his own role. The medium is considered a villager. The medium's winning condition is the same as the village, the death of all the werewolves. The medium hears the words of the dead. The medium may attempt to contact one dead person each night. They will make their request to the game moderator who will contact the dead player for a response (to the moderator). If the dead player does not respond in a timely fashion, his words are lost. If a response is given, the moderator will relay it to the medium. "Timely fashion" does not mean before day break.

The game will initially have 1 Turncoat

The turncoat knows his own role and the roles of each of the werewolves. The turncoat is considered a villager (as in he counts towards the village total). The turncoat's winning condition is the same as the werewolves, that the number of werewolves equals or exceeds the number of villagers. The turncoat can not communicate privately with the wolves.

The game will initially have 1 Vigilante

The vigilante knows only his own role. The vigilante is considered a villager. The vigilante's condition for victory is the same as the village, the death of all the werewolves. The vigilante is given a bullet on each even night (nights 2, 4, 6, etc) which he may choose to use. He can not stockpile bullets.

The game will initially have 0 Dead

The dead may be contacted by the medium and asked for perspective or information. Something which is wholly useless. However, upon dying each slain player has a chance at divining the truth of one other player's role. Upon death, the player is given the momentary power of the classical seer. The dead player makes a request to the mod and that request is given a percent chance of success (constant for everyone throughout the game, will not be made explicitly clear what that chance is). The player will either get a message with the look up information or a message that they failed. Because of this, there will be no Dead Thread for this game.

The game will initially have 14 Villagers

A villager knows only his own role. A villager is considered a villager. The villager wins when all the werewolves are dead.

It’s been 12 days since the inauguration of President Michelle Bachmann. 12 days since the water turned sour, the sky filled with clouds of ash and rained the lower-back sweat of the damned. It’s been 12 days since the Kingdom of Heaven called out for the Lord’s faithful to join Him.

All in all, it’s been a pretty laid back 12 days. After the initial kick of the rapture was through, the sinful few naturally gravitated towards one another and the village of Netherlife was founded.

You know you’re walking into Netherlife when you see the haphazard results of Supa’s attempt to nail him to a cross. He got the first nail in for his left hand before running out of free hands to hammer up the right. No one has come to his aid.

The crowning achievement in Netherlife is the pub. The pub is just a still and some sitting rocks, but the day OngBonga, GatorJH, and Boog690 came back from scavenging with it was the day no one could be so sure he was really damned.

DanAronG has taken upon preaching the one remaining path to heaven; something to the effect of working to repay every douchebag moment of your life. Ragnar4 decided to step up on a soapbox himself and declare that the actual trick is to be an incredible douchebag to anyone who was such a douchebag as to not have gotten in in the first place. Both have the same number of followers but Ragnar is winning in spirit.

Recognizing a good opportunity when one appears, wufwugy, bigred, gabe, and bikes have set out to form a true utopian society. It’s surprising to know just how many wars can be declared in just over two weeks; less so to see how few are actually fought.

At this point, you have no idea what jackvance, shotglass, DropTheBanana, philly and the phanatics, Hoopy, TLR, Benny, Warpe, Fulsky, and lolzzz_321 are doing because you’ve been sipping some of that firebreather goodness and you don’t have a chance at remembering even if I told you.

Both the turncoat and the Medium instead of seer seem interesting

I have a few questions about the rules
1. If I recall correctly self lynching by a villager is not allowed - is this the case in this game as well (to be more precise - can the turncoat lynch himself)

2. Is the medium restricted to questions regarding the lookups or is it valid for him to ask other questions as well (for example what are the thoughts of the dead person about this or that person) can the medium contact a dead person more then once (for example if at one night no one dies can the medium contact the same dead person again)

3. I think we should get at least some knowledge of the sucess % of the dead lookup, the chance of the medium having info is important for any kind of planning by both village and wolves

It is pretty clear that the village needs to come up with some sort of algorhitm for lookups by the dead to minimze the cases when multiple deads look up the same person, this algorhitm is dependant on the unknown value of % of success of lookups

It is currently Day 1. There are werewolves among you. 12 votes required for a lynch. In 48 hrs, majority vote dies. If there is a tie, it'll be decided by coinflip.

Self-lynching is suicide. If the turncoat decided to do that, he'd be hurting his true team, the werewolves.

He can ask any question he wishes within reason. I don't forsee many questions that aren't within reason, though. The medium can contact a dead person more than once on different nights. But he can only contact him once per night.

Sometimes the nature of those things between heaven and earth aren't always accessible to us.

So there's in effect 3 teams (of which 1 is one person) that are trying to win this game. Looks kinda hard to find the single turncoat besides guesswork because he isn't interacting with fellow mischief-doers, but should be fun.

Yeah, for the winning conditions but I think he meant as far as the game dynamic goes. Turncoat is an island, doing his own thing, wants to further the wolves agenda without being too obvious but also can't go along with the village too aggressively or he'll get eaten by the wolves.

I was essentially this role in the Wirewolf game. It's tough.

The agenda of the turncoat is exactly identical to that of the wolves, and it might be the easiest role to play in this game as it has more info then anyone else and it should not be that hard to play it and stay other the radar. The interesting part will be if the identity of the turncoat is known to the seer version of this game

Yeah, the very difficult part, meaning frustrating, is that you don't get to be part of the decision making.

I find this odd. Banana is more experienced than I am, more respected, less annoying. He's a useful villager because he puts time and effort in. I'm against a DTB day 1 lynch, unless we have a good reason, which we don't. Boog hasn't posted, neither has Warpe, so we should be looking at these guys so we have everyone involved.

Not convinced dan is the turncoat, it seems stupid he'd ask these questions publicly when he can do so in private.

I'm happy to put some heat on the quiet ones, so lynch warpe for now, since boog already has heat on him.

@Bikes: I've been a wolf 3/6 times I've played and have been on the wolf team with quite a few names on this game's roster. I can't stop the wolves from eating me again, but I feel like I could contribute a lot of quote unquote inside info on certain players once the game catches traction.

There are a few names that more times than not end up making it to Day 4 or 5 and rarely post. I would rather take one of them out early and leave players who drop a lot of info in the game since this game's lineup is pretty stout.
