I would like to start a werewolf thread thingy.

Since I am the mod of this forum, ill mod the first werewolf thread. I'd like someone else to mod it aswell so that there is always someone around to keep the thing going.

I need 20 people which is 4 wolves, 1 seer, 1 angel and 14 peeps.

At night the werewolves vote to kill someone, the seer votes check someone out and sees their role (as villager, angel or wolf) and the angel votes to protect someone during the night.

The during the day, everyone votes to lynch someone. Majority runs the mob.

Alright so after a little bit of thought and re-reading I'm going to try to explain my interpretation of this game. I could be wrong so don't blame me if I am.

20 people sign up, and they are randomly assigned a part. The werewolves know who each other are, but nobody else knows who anybody is. I assume you are allowed to tell people who/what you are, but you are also free to lie about that.

Anyway night comes, and the werewolves decide who to kill. The angel protects somebody for the night, and the seer gets the chance to find out who somebody is. If I understand the game, the seer's ability to reveal somebody's identity makes them the most important character in the game. If the werewolves are forunate enough to kill him early, they should win. Now if there's like 1 werewolf left and a bunch of peeps, the seer can just tell them who it is and the good guys win. Of course you can fake being the seer? I'm assuming that the game is like werewolves vs the world or something like that.

Something like that. Never heard of it and never played it, but I'm on the right track.

Oh yeah, forgot a few things. Lynching. I ASSume that all 20 people get a vote during the 'day' (only the werewolves know who each other are) with the goal being to lynch a WW. And when somebody is killed, you should be able to see their true identity. I think. I dunno, the game better be played how I think it is, because it would be pretty tight like that. And it's the only way it makes sense...

Sounds about right, Lukie... i think generally the seer tries to keep his/her identity a secret as obviously if that comes out then you're going to get torn apart pretty damn quick

i think another tricky thing will be all 4 werewolves trying to make sure that none of their own are killed, while negotiating with the "normies". it will be really transparent if everyone is like "let's kill lukie he smells bad", and lukie and 3 others are the only ones that disagree.


and lukie, reading through the mafia rules on wikipedia, it sounds like the choices made by the seer, angel, and werewolves, are all relayed by the narrator, so there's no way to fake being the seer or anything, nor is there any way to really find out who one of them is unless they admit it.

woah, i see faking being the seer in a whole new light now. the only problem i see with this, is if you fake being the seer, the real seer will out you overnight.

it might buy you enough time to pick him off though, if for some reason he doesn't out you that night but wants to wait a night and you get him in time.

trouble is... if the "seer" is actually a ww, then the wolves are pretty much guaranteed to win.

Nobody knows who the seer is, so anyone can claim to be the seer.

i'm not sure who's right. at first i thought that your way couldn't work, because then the seer could never use his knowledge, but that's not at all true, he could persuade just like everyone else, and i actually like that way better now.

Here's how it will go,

I will send everyone a pm saying that you are either a villager, seer, angel or werewolf.

If you are a werewolf you will also know the other 3 werewolves immediately.

The game will being during the NIGHT where the werewolves will speak with each other through pms, or aim, or irc and send me a pm about who they wish to kill.

Also during the night the seer will send me a pm with the name of one person in the game, i will return his message with that players role in the game. The seer does not have to expose himself since once he does, he'll be a big target for the wolves.

The angel will pm me the name of the person he wishes to protect during the NIGHT phase, which can be himself for every round if he feels so moved.

After I have recieved all the info, i will relay the message of who died at night and their role in the game. If the werewolves attack the person being protected, i will simply say that no one was found dead. and the game will move to the DAY phase.

During the day, everyone gets together to choose whom to lycnh. A majority is required to lych someone.

The objective is to lynch the 4 werewolves before the devour all the villagers/seers/angels and to have an all around good time!

Once you're dead, you can not talk about the game in this thread beyond "GO villagers!" and stuff of this nature.
