Weak TP against a loosish player ($12)

Opp seems loose-passive PF, playing almost 50% of hands over a 20 hands, but tends to raise his best hands like AQs etc.

Villain's range - Two overs like KJ etc. (excl. AK or AQ as he raises PF with these), sets, overpairs, FD, Ax for the SD,

What's your move on the flop?

I'd lead the flop for like 240 or so and give up to any action. As played, I think I C-R AI.

The problem is that villain has been classified as "loose-pssive". On a flop like this I dont think we can get rid of him often. He is not going away with an overpair, a flush draw and very likely not even with Ax because he flopped a 4-outer straight draw and two overs or a straight draw and a pair. So I think leading out isnt going to do it often enough because we will get flat-called a lot by a loose-passive player. So I think it's either check/raising or check/folding here. In a spot like this I might lean towards being a nit and waiting for a better spot.

I agree you are not getting him off much especially if his Ax matches the board at all. And as mentioed Ax has SD.

I wouldn't even stab the flop. Not worth it. Moving swiftly along I reckon.... Taipan you would not CR-AI in a million years! stop it! lol.

I think seeing a fop from the blinds is exactly the same situation loose, losing players get themselves every time they limp in with speculative hands - you never know where the hell you are and just get in trouble - be it outkicked, flop a draw that will end up being second best even if it hits, crushed already etc..

Blinds used to get me in loads of trouble. Now I may complete (low blinds) with something like K4s with a few limpers purely to hit the flush and not the king due to reverse implied odds.

It's even worse in the BB when some1 min raises and u have nothing. Folding looks like they can get away with it and you don't want to call because u have to hit it very hard to stand any chance.
