I don't think so b/c with blinds at 100/200/25 you don't really need to be shoving yet. Although you are the short stack, you still have over 20 blinds, giving you plenty of room. You aren't in the position where you need to either jam or fold. A min-raise would suffice here.

Depends on the difference between 3rd prize and 2nd prize, depends how often this villain limps, depends on how often the bb folds, depends on all the factors you clearly didn't consider.

Was just luck, as agnesamurphy said and it makes sense I should not have pushed.
So, next time I will have it in mind.

    Thank you very much

Shoving might be good. I mean if button is limp/folding a lot and big blind is either folding most of his range, or calling so wide that KJ is dominant more often than dominated, then shoving is great. But calling the limp is also a perfectly viable option, especially if this guy generally doesn't limp. It's situation dependant. 3-handed you should have a good idea how these guys are playing.

minraising OOP with just under 19 BBs and antes seems pretty horrible to me.

I think your options preflop are to call, set up a go'n'go by raising to like 1200, or just shove.

All have merit depending on opp.

think a shove shove if fine according to nash

but, you could min raise fold there down to prob 8bbs

or the limp stab would be fine also

i just dont think a 2.5x or 3x raise would ever be ok

I dont think there is any need to shove here. There is plenty of play left and you are risking way too much for wayoo little chips. A min raise or 2.5BB is often fineto steal here

I like the shove 3-handed OOP. You may be card dead for a while and have to shove a lot worse.

I think a 2.2bb raise it good and if you think the opponent could be jamming it in really wide you could then call but would say whether it's person dependant or not. worse case is usually you have 40% equity against a rag ace

    Lets see your options
    1. Min raise - I dont think a min raise would make anybody fold their hand. Do you really want to sweeten the pot and play out of position.
    2. Raise 2.5 to 3BB - Again the villian has a big stack and your raise will be called. You are just riisking more chips playing out of position.
    3. Conservative approach- Let us see a flop and hope we hit the flop. You are minimizing your risk playing out of position.
    4. Go All in- There are 700 in the pot already . And you would chip up significantly by 20% .The player limped in the button so more likely to fold your all in shove.
Now i think options 3 and 4 are the plausible options here. I personally would go with 4 and raise all in.

    O sorry
I thought it was 9 handed.
In three handed it depends more on player and flow of game. I am less likely to shove here and raise 3BB if he folds to raise. Otherwise i m going with a call.
